Andromeda Gardens: The Andromeda Botanical Gardens, found in the parish of St.Joseph, is a six-acre garden containing several varieties of orchids, palms, ferns, heliconia, hibiscus, bougainvillea, begonias and cacti. The beautiful and exotic flowers and trees are complemented by a lovely stream which bisects the land and forms enchanting pools and waterfalls. The name Andromeda is derived from the mythical Greek goddess who was chained to a rock. Work on the Garden was started in 1954 by Mrs. Iris Bannochie, a local horticulturist. At her death, Mrs. Bannochie bequeathed Andromeda to the Barbados National Trust, which now runs the Garden. There is a gift shop and café just by the entrance. Open Daily: 9am - 4:30pm. The Barbados Wildlife Reserve is located in a natural mahogany wood across the road from the Farley Hill National Park in the northern parish of St. Peter. Here you have a unique opportunity to stroll freely through the Reserve watching the animals at close range and in their own natural environment. There are few cages and the animals can be observed as they eat, play and interact with the other animals.  What types of animals will you spot here? The Barbados Green Monkeys are common and are especially popular at the afternoon feeding time. Note that the monkeys are free to leave the reserve and often do so during the day. Birds vary from colourful parrots, flamingoes and peacocks to brown pelicans and sparrows. The walk-through aviary is a special treat! Reptile lovers will appreciate the collection of snakes (these are in cages!), iguanas, turtles and tortoises. St. Nicholas Abbey: There are only three remaining Jacobean mansions in the Western hemisphere. This is one of them. Lovingly restored and set in park-like gardens surrounded by cane fields, the heritage gem brings the romance and rue, the toil and grandeur of the plantation era to life. In fact, it is a working plantation. Upgraded in 2007, and staffed with superb guides, St. Nicholas Abbey is a totally crafted experience. There is so much to appreciate, from gardening to early technology, from antiques to rum production, from plantation agriculture and the role of enslaved Africans, to architecture and hurricane lore. The impact is heightened by a rare 1930s documentary on sugar production, and a steam-driven sugar cane mill which operates on specific days during cane season (February – July.) A carefully-blended rum is bottled here. Bottles can be purchased, and can be personalized by instant etching onto special decanters. Price $35 BBD Adults, BBD$ 20 Children.

The course is over 1000 feet in length and the highest platform is over 100 feet with the longest Zipline cable running close to 300 feet. $92 USD/per person.
