In Barbados we like to think that life did not begin in our island...it was just perfected here!

Barbados offers sun, sea, white sandy beaches, relaxation and a way of life that you can't get enough of. The island is full of culture and history.

Barbados is the eastern-most Caribbean island with an exact location of 13.4N, 54.4W. The coral island is 21 miles long and 14 miles wide and was created by the collision of the Atlantic crustal and Caribbean plates, along with a volcanic eruption less than one million years ago. It was actually two land masses that merged together over the years.

Some other interesting facts about the island:

The United Nations Development Index (1996) ranked Barbados third in terms of quality of life among 160 developing countries worldwide.

Research and surveys show that visitors highlight the friendliness of Barbadians as its greatest and most pleasing asset. This is reflected in the highest repeat visitor factor in the region of 39%.

Barbados has the third oldest parliament in the world.

Barbados boasts the only full time fertility unit in the Caribbean region with amazing success rates.
