After France they moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada where Lyn-marie stayed for the better part of ten years. After graduating with a B.A. in English from McGill University, she moved to Toronto, Ontario to take up a post with Air Canada in their reservations department.

Yet, the pull of her native land proved to be too strong so at the first chance of being able to "separate" from Air Canada, she jumped at the chance and returned to Barbados. Whilst having worked in Customer Service for most of her career, Lyn-marie thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to briefly work at Grantley Adams  International Airport thus walking in the footsteps of her parents.
